Operation and Maintenance
Veolia manages and operates facilities in close partnership with public authorities. We constantly devise unique solutions to help our partners deal with the complex requirements of water services.
Veolia optimizes the operation and maintenance of treatment plants and networks by improving the performance of the water and wastewater assets. We take charge of complete management of services and performance optimization.
Pench 1 is one of the six water treatment plants that Veolia operates in the city of Nagpur. Here, the Nagpur Municipal Corporation has entrusted us with the management of the city's water supply service. Veolia's design of the plant included the augmentation of capacity from 110 MLD to 136 MLD. With the objective of producing drinking water of the best quality, Veolia renovated and used state-of-the-art technologies for the aeration, pre-chlorination, coagulation-flocculation, lamellae clarification with MULTIFLO (one of Veolia Water's patented technologies), filtration, disinfection and recycle of backwash wastewater. In addition, Veolia operates and maintains Pench 1 by providing the highest standards in management of services.
Veolia guarantees healthy and high quality water for all citizens through its water cycle management tailored to the specific needs of public authorities and industrial clients. We work hand-in-hand with public authorities to take care of the various steps in the water cycle management. This includes collecting water from nature, treating and producing drinking water. We are also experts in wastewater treatment, recycling it for various purposes including irrigation and groundwater recharge.
Veolia tailors its services to the specific needs of Indian public authorities. We have successfully partnered with municipalities in New Delhi, Nagpur and Karnataka (Hubli-Dharwad, Belgaum, Gulbarga, Bijapur and a part of Bangalore). In these cities, we design, build and operate plants, produce safe drinking water using our experience and expertise in water treatment and distribute it to all on a 24/7 basis.
By improving operational performance with the everyday control of the quality of water, we comply with the standards set by the Central Public Health Environmental Engineering Organization and the World Health Organization. We ensure the implementation of most appropriate and state-of-the-art technology to constantly monitor drinking water, from the point of withdrawal to the consumer's tap.
