Deputy CEO & Head of Municipal Water Business, India

Mr. Babu is the Deputy CEO and also one of the Directors on board of Veolia India. He is also the head of Municipal water segment and new loops material and is responsible for its business development and operations in India along with the general management of the organization. He has worked on structuring water and wastewater contracts in Indian context, involved in negotiations with partners for shareholding agreements, project financing as well as monitoring the JVs along with partners. 

As the Deputy CEO he contributes to the strategic and operational direction of Veolia in India along with establishing clear and consistent management practices to enable a high performing and cohesive executive team. Overall he has more than 20years of experience. 

He has been working with Veolia India right from the beginning, year 2000 onwards. Earlier to this, he worked with Anglian Water in India and the UK for a short period. Mr. Babu is a Graduate in Civil Engineering (1993), Masters in Environmental Engineering (1995). He also completed a postgraduate programme in management (2008).
